WHAT WE AIM FOR
we are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA. that is an ongoing effort, not something we have finished, and we have not yet had an outside audit.
WHAT IS IN PLACE
• keyboard: every link, button and pop-up on this page can be reached with the tab key, used with enter or space, and closed with escape. the keyboard focus is outlined so you can see where you are.
• screen readers: pop-ups announce themselves as dialogs, and the shop's buttons and form fields have labels.
• motion: if your device is set to reduce motion, the shop's animations are turned off.
• sound: nothing is ever communicated by sound alone. the chimes in the blueprint are decoration and everything they signal is also on the screen.
• text: pages are plain text on a white background, and they respond to your browser's zoom and text size settings.
WHAT WE ARE STILL WORKING ON
• captions and transcripts: some videos and audio in the blueprint may not have captions or a written transcript yet. ask and we will send you one.
• custom tools: the shop, the studio scheduler and the quizzes were built by hand and have not been tested with every screen reader.
• colour contrast: some secondary grey text on a few pages is lighter than it should be. we are going through it page by page.

MIXING
Industry standard mixing and mastering by engineers with millions of streams worldwide. We transform your raw stems into a polished, distribution-ready master.
Press play, then switch between the raw stems and the finished master.
• Full in-depth mix: comprehensive creative processing, precision vocal editing, EQ, compression and instrumental balancing.
• Distribution master: hi-res limiting and final polish for a loud, commercial, streaming-ready track. Includes a clean version, delivered as WAV for distributors.
• 2 revisions max: two rounds of targeted tweaks. The project closes once your final delivery is signed off or the revisions are used. No further changes without a new purchase.
• 14-day turnaround: two weeks maximum, starting once your mix is assigned to an engineer (up to 24 hours), to ensure thorough human post-production and strict quality control.
• 01 Book and agree: pick your songs and click through the terms.
• 02 Drop your stems: fill out the song form, upload your files through the secure link, then check out.
• 03 Assigned to an engineer: your mix has to be assigned to an engineer first, which can take up to 24 hours.
• 04 Get your mix back: after that, we mix it (14 days max) and email you a download link for your WAV and clean version.
MASTERING
Industry standard mastering by engineers with millions of streams worldwide. We take your finished mix and turn it into a polished, distribution-ready master. Mastering by itself costs less than a mix and usually comes back faster.
Press play, then switch between the mixed song and the finished master.
Mastering is the last step before your song comes out. We work on the whole song at once, not one sound at a time. Think of it like washing and waxing a car: the car is already built, so we just make the whole thing shine.
• Mixed somewhere else: someone already mixed your song and you like it. You just want it to sound finished and ready to release.
• No stems needed: we only need the one finished song file.
• Heads up: mastering can't fix one sound by itself. If the vocal is too quiet or the drums are too loud, that's a mixing job. Want the best result? Get it mixed: every mix comes with a master.
• Full mastering pass: precision EQ, multiband compression, stereo imaging and loudness optimization tailored to your mix.
• Distribution master: hi-res limiting and final polish for a loud, commercial, streaming-ready track, delivered as WAV for distributors.
• No revisions: mastering is a one-pass service. Make sure your mix is final before you submit it.
• 14-day turnaround: two weeks maximum, often faster. The clock starts when your payment goes through (your files are already uploaded by then), not before.
• 01 Book and agree: pick your songs and click through the terms.
• 02 Drop your track: fill out the song form, upload your finished mix through the secure link, then check out.
• 03 Get your master back: we master it and email you a download link for your master (WAV).
+ ENGINEER
An in-house engineer runs your session. You show up, record, and we handle the rest. Your booking includes rough mixes of your songs.
Mixing is not included in recording sessions. What you get is rough mixes only, which are high-quality in-studio demos, not the final version. When you want a finished mix, add mixing separately.
$75 per hour. Sessions with an engineer need 2 hours notice.
Engineer hours: Saturday and Sunday, 12 PM to 5 PM Central. Studio hours are varying right now because of a staff shortage.
No smoking: smoking or vaping in the studio is absolutely prohibited. 100%, no exceptions.
RESIDENCY
The studio is sold in 5-day blocks to a few resident artists. You get one 4 hour slot, the same slot on 5 studio days in a row (20 hours), and your block can start on any weekday. Saturdays and Sundays are not part of a block; they are for sessions with an engineer and maintenance.
$249.99 for 5 studio days (Blueprint Pro members get 10% off). Five slots a day: morning (8 AM to 12 PM), afternoon (12 PM to 4 PM), evening (4 PM to 8 PM), late evening (8 PM to midnight) and overnight (midnight to 4 AM, the night of each studio day). The room is closed to residents from 4 AM to 8 AM. One resident per slot at a time. If a time is full, reserve the first open start day with the $25 deposit to hold your place in line.
Full creative control. The room is yours for the week: no engineer, no clock-watching, all the time you need to record, mix and master your own music and to explore the gear. Learn to do it yourself with the Blueprint (your onboarding is free with your booking), or bring your own engineer if you want one.

HOW LONG?
With no engineer you book the whole studio to yourself, which we call a lockout. Nobody else is in the room and you run the session yourself. Pick a block length:
4 HR BLOCK, $150. A 4 hour lockout session. There are six start times a day: 6AM, 10AM, 2PM, 6PM, 10PM and 2AM.
8 HR BLOCK, $200. An 8 hour lockout session, the same thing for a full 8 hours. Choose early (6AM to 2PM), mid (2PM to 10PM) or night (10PM to 6AM).
Good to know: bring your own hard drive and export your files before your time is up. You can bring up to 4 guests, and everyone is registered at checkout. We ask for a government ID once for lockouts. Your time starts when your booking starts, not when you arrive.
HOW MANY HOURS?
Sessions with an engineer are $75 per hour. Sessions run Saturday and Sunday, 12 PM to 5 PM Central, so pick 1 to 5 hours now and choose your start time at checkout.
An in-house engineer runs the session and you get rough mixes. Mixing is not included. We need 2 hours notice for sessions with an engineer.
